This is not a conventional plot-driven drama, but a short post-dramatic one-act text – a monodrama for a single actress/performer – by the Ukrainian playwright Antonina Romanova who wrote it in a single burst in the trenches near Toretsk in February 2025, while serving in a mortar unit. The play has no traditional narrative. Instead, the performer addresses the audience directly, giving voice to Antonina’s reflections on theatre, presence, and the meaning of existence here and now, at the moment when the reality of war and the reality of the theatre converge in the same time and space
